If your child will be absent for the day, please email the school at [email protected]. Please be sure to include your child’s full name, grade level, and the reason for absence. If you know your child will be absent for more than 1 day, please state that in your email. Otherwise, an email is required for each day your child is absent.
Please do not call the school to report an absence. Since we must have notice from the parents in writing, an email fulfills this requirement of the EdChoice Scholarship Program.
Absences should be reported before 8:30 a.m. daily. In order for the absence to be excused, it must be emailed prior to 8:30 a.m. If we have not received an email by 8:30 a.m., we will call you to confirm your child’s absence which will then be marked as unexcused. You are still required to follow up with an email so that we have the reason for the absence in writing. Vacations are not considered an excused absence. Please keep this in mind when planning vacations for your family. Students are only allowed 20 unexcused absences with the EdChoice Scholarship.
