PARENT DROP-OFF: Parents dropping off their child(ren) in the morning must enter the school from Mentor Avenue. Students are to exit their cars anywhere between the orange cones. All cars will exit onto Acacia Avenue. Preschool parents dropping off their children should also enter from Mentor Avenue and form a line. The line should be formed so that cars wrap in front of the parish garage, behind the east parking lot spaces, in front of doors A-D. Preschool children should exit cars on the sidewalk side of the cars in front of door D.
PARENT PICK-UP: Parents picking up their children after school should enter from Mentor Avenue. Two lines of cars should be formed beginning at the corner of the school at Door C. A faculty member will direct traffic once the buses leave the school premises. The flow of traffic should go around the perimeter of the back parking lot. Students in K-8 will be allowed to enter the vehicles on the sidewalk side when cars are stopped according to faculty directives. Parents with Preschool or Pre-K tags will follow the flow of traffic until they pass the second faculty member directing traffic. Once the preschool parents passes this faculty member, they can park in the parking space and walk to the doors of Farrell Hall in order to retrieve their children. No child is allowed to go from the school to the car in the parking lot unless accompanied by an adult. Please be careful and follow the flow of traffic as there are many children and parents within this area during dismissal.

dress codeSchool Uniform: Students in uniform have a certain pride about themselves that is reflected in their actions. Our school uniform should be worn with dignity and pride. Uniforms must be neat and clean at all times. Refer to the dress code policy for specific details. Uniforms may be purchased from Schoolbelles or the P.TU. used uniform sale on Drop-In Day and Open House.
Dress Down Days: On designated non-uniform days, also known as dress-down days, students are able to wear clothing other than the regular uniform. On these days (birthdays, contribution bonus days, earned non-uniform days, etc.) the student may wear capri pants, slacks or jeans, sweatshirts, appropriate slogan T-shirts, tennis shoes/socks. HONEYWELL INSTANT ALERT
St. Mary’s utilizes Honeywell Instant Alert for Schools in order to reach families quickly and effectively. Instant Alert is an essential tool for notification and communication. Within minutes of an emergency, school officials use Instant Alert to deliver a single, clear message to the students’ parents/guardians by telephone, cell phone, e-mail, or PDA in any combination. The system is also used to notify parents/guardians of a school closing due to inclement weather. It’s an equally effective way to keep the community informed of everyday activities, such as an event times and locations as well as schedule changes. Please follow these instructions to establish a St. Mary's Instant Alert account.
